I'd love to hear from you! Whether you have a question about the tool, feedback on how I can improve, or a suggestion for a new feature, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your input is incredibly valuable as I continue to build and refine Miniature Painting Forge for the community.
The best way to get in touch is by sending us an email or contact me on Instagram. I will do my best to respond to all inquiries as quickly as possible.
To help me respond as usefully as possible, here's what's most helpful to include depending on why you're writing:
Missing paint brand or line: The manufacturer name and the specific line (e.g. "Vallejo Xpress Color"). A link to the manufacturer's page is a bonus.
Incorrect paint data: The brand, line, and paint name, plus what's wrong — whether it's a bad hex value, a misspelling, or an incorrect cross-brand conversion.
Bug report: What you were doing, what happened instead, and which browser and device you were using. A screenshot helps if the issue is visual.
Feature suggestion: Just describe what you'd like the tool to do — no need for technical detail.
This is a one-person hobby project, so I aim to reply within a week. I read every message even if a response takes a little time. If you do not hear back, feel free to follow up.
Is the tool free to use?
Yes, and it always will be. There are no accounts required to use the paint matcher, comparison tools, or highlight and shadow finder.
How is the paint data collected?
Paint entries are sourced from manufacturer websites and product ranges, then cross-referenced with community corrections sent in by users. If something looks wrong, it probably came in before a correction did — please flag it.
How often is the database updated?
New lines and corrections are added when manufacturers release new ranges or when users report gaps. There is no fixed schedule — it depends on when new information comes in.
